Sheri Busse began Emerald City Jewelers with a dream and the conviction that that the area needed a shop that could provide high quality jewelry repair and artistic custom design. The store opened on August 1, 1995 in a 400 square foot space with Sheri as the only employee. Word spread quickly of the fine work and friendly atmosphere at Emerald City and soon it was time to expand. Sheri then had two employees as the moved into a larger space on Jefferson Street. Showcases were purchased and the store went from mainly repair and design to a full service jewelry store. The addition of two more experienced goldsmiths and a qualified appraiser quickly built the business up to the points of expansion again. Emerald City Jewelers’ current, beautiful showroom opened on August 13, 2001 at 33rd and Broadway in the Site Vision building.
